Really. As my friend & mechanic puts it, I’m a “car chick”. Cars are my thing. I prefer them to be as big and tough looking as possible, but I also like them fast, sporty, and sometimes even tiny and cute, like this. Isn’t it cute?!! (There’s actually one just like that for sale near us, but unfortunately it’s not going to fit Hot Husband, the boys and our 113 lb. dog inside it for a camping trip.) I totally want one of those when the kids move out.
Anyway, the Charger was a really nice car, but it had some issues (some of which it’s had since the day I bought it) and a decision had to be made about whether to fix the issues or trade it in for something with 4 wheel drive. I’m an independant type of girl, so having to rely on people to push me out of driveways and parking lots last winter didn’t sit well with me. So Hot Husband & I decided it was time to get me another truck.
Or at least, that’s what he thought.
If I could go back in time and change just one decision I’ve made, it would be my decision to trade in my 1st Ram quad cab. I cried the day I got rid of it, and I’ve regretted that decision ever since. I knew if I was going to get another truck it would have to live up to that one, and I really didn’t think it was going to be possible. Our local dealerships didn’t have anything close, but one of them did have 2 H3’s. I’ve dreamed of owning a Hummer for about 10 years, and last Friday my dream came true.

I honestly thought I’d never have one, but I’m here to tell you that hard work, determination and perseverence pays off! Don’t ever give up on your dreams.
As for the rest of my absence, balancing work, motherhood, responsibilities as a Landlord and everything else is tough. I feel it most in the summer when the kids want to swim in the pool, and since I need to supervise them that often means the blog takes a back seat while I find projects to keep me occupied outdoors. There’s never a lack of weeding to be done, and this year Saleem, one of Hot Husband’s students, made me a couple of window boxes so I’ve been busy shopping for and planting flowers. He did a fabulous job with them, didn’t he? Thanks, Saleem!
