Abandoned, Part II

I’ve always had a fascination with old/abandoned buildings and houses, and this is the beginning of a series I hope to do on them. I personally find the subject matter very thought provoking and emotional. I know it’s not for everyone, but hey, it’s my blog! If this isn’t for you, come back in a few days for pictures of my favorite soon-to-be 3 year-old.

Bowling With The Boys

Hot Husband thought it would be fun to take the kids bowling during their winter break, so we decided Thursday night would be “their” night.  The Youngest was excited to go bowling for the first time ever (although in all honesty, he’s excited about everything).

It was hysterical to watch The Youngest because he pretty much threw the ball down at his feet.  I was sure he was going to leave a dent in the floor!

The Oldest would do this thing where he was practically sprinting up to the lane and then he did this weird thing where his arm and his wrist would twist…and he’d get a gutter ball.  Hot Husband and I were pretty sure we’d be taking him to the ER with another broken wrist.  It was funny to watch except I could see he was getting irritated.  I suggested he try walking instead of running and  his game did improve.

The Oldest managed to beat The Youngest’s score, LOL!

Valentine’s Love

I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting Rachel & Dan’s Valentine’s Day wedding with my friend and fellow Photographer Andrea Casey yesterday.  I started my day at the church, and since the guys were already there, we headed outside for some quick formals.   Dan’s  Best  Man was  a woman…his  Sister, to be exact.

You know I can’t resist a little fisheye action at the back of the church.

I love this shot of all the parents.

Rachel & Dan had their ceremony at Holy Family Church in Camillus.  I always love it when a church has great architectural elements, so I was excited to see the enormous pipe organ and the curved ceiling beams.

After the ceremony we headed over to the old Syracuse Post Office, which is a massive historic building that now houses a design firm.  Rachel & Dan were lucky enough to get a set of keys so we could take some pictures inside.  I had some fun with the girls while Andrea was with the Bride & Groom.  Rachel & Dan’s bridal party was one of the most fun groups I’ve ever worked with, and the pictures are always so much better when everyone’s having a good time!

Rachel was such a trooper!  It was freezing outside!

How fun is this cake topper?!  I was thrilled to see it was in front of my favorite window at Justin’s, where they had their reception.  The food is always amazing there!

Last, but not least, the Father-Daughter dance.  I love the emotion on Rachel’s face.
