Gobble, Gobble

Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

Pomegranate

I’d drop my iPhone like a bad habit for this one, lol! The link takes a little while to load, but it’s worth it!

Game On

I don’t get the whole Fantasy Football thing, but I get that some people don’t get blogging. There was a time during my teenage years in Illinois when I loved to watch the Bears play on Sundays, but I live in NY now and for some reason they prefer to televise NY football teams here. To say I was less-than-thrilled about moving to NY my Senior year of High School is a gross understatement, and as such I refuse to associate my fan hood with any NY teams. That pretty much means I don’t enjoy watching football anymore.

So when I was approached by Hot Husband, Thelma and Thelma’s husband to join their spouses fantasy football league, I was reluctant. I already spend most of my day in front of the computer working on one aspect of my business or another, and I just didn’t think I could take on anything I didn’t have a vested interest in. Then they told me I didn’t even have to do anything and basically peer-pressured me until I said OK.

In a strange twist of events I’m currently first in the league. Hot Husband is tied for last place with Thelma’s Husband. (I beat Thelma’s Husband by one point last week.) Admittedly, the first week Hot Husband monitored my players and I think even made a trade on my behalf. (He even found me that South Park character with the computer and the iPod to use as my avatar.) When I won the first game other members of the league were outraged, and when I reminded them that they said I didn’t have to do anything, I was told that didn’t mean that Hot Husband could do it for me. It was clear that I had to figure out how the whole thing worked so I could manage my team. Occasionally, when I was busy with work stuff Hot Husband would remind me that the Bears (we weren’t home for the draft, but I somehow ended up with them as my defense) was on a bye and I’d have to pick another defense. I don’t think he’s going to help this week, though, since we’re matched up against each-other.

I start to get stressed when the opposing team is projected to win, and since Hot Husband is projected to win by 11 points, I’m looking to my loyal blog reader’s for help. (I’m sure this will be considered cheating by Hot Husband.) So, if you have any suggestions for me, leave me some blog luv and tell me how I can beat the pants off of him, lol!

P.S. I just noticed he already has 3 points. That’s why he was watching that football game on the computer last night!

Maria & Bob’s Album Preview

Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get going on an album layout, and Maria & Bob’s was one of those. It’s so important for the album to tell the story of the day seamlessly from start to finish, and I also feel strongly that the layout should be clean, simple and not overcrowded. I actually ended up tossing my first draft of their album and starting over.

I was going to email them a few spreads as a preview, but then I figured I’d just post it here A) to give new and prospective client’s a glimpse and B) to make up for my recent lack of blog posts without pictures, lol.

I typically do black background pages, but white seemed right with this one. I do allow my couple’s the final choice in page color, though, so I will change it for them if they prefer. This is the first spread. (Pages 2 and 3.)

Pages 4 and 5.

Pages 6 and 7.

That’s all for now!
