May 2nd was The Youngest’s first communion, and he had many friends and family in attendance. He was *so* nervous the night before, but we certainly couldn’t tell the day of.

I definitely felt like I was shooting a wedding, except for the fact that I couldn’t get out of my seat to take pictures.

I knew it wasn’t a wedding, though, because even though she’s wearing a white dress and a veil, that’s *not* the girl that The Youngest is going to marry. ![]()

We were thrilled to learn that Hot Husband’s Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe were coming in from Michigan to help us celebrate. Uncle Joe was a high school friend of my Father-in-Law, Bobby, who passed away before The Youngest was born. Words can’t describe how much it meant to us to have them there.

THIS is The Youngest’s future wife, if her Mother and I can help it. It was also the *only* person he wanted to have his picture taken with.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Margaret came in from Long Island, and are also longtime friends of the family. (Uncle Jim is Hot Husband’s Godfather.) Many holiday’s were spent in Brooklyn with them and the Walsh’s throughout Hot Husband’s life, and I was lucky to experience that when we started dating. We haven’t seen them in years, and it was so great to catch up!

My Sister-in-Law, Susan, who is also The Youngest’s Godmother, and my niece.

My parents joined us as well.

I have no idea who these two are…country club members, perhaps?

The Youngest’s Godfather, Lucas.

And our fab cake by Jen, friend and owner of She Takes The Cake in Manlius.
